Cheryl Peterson, LMFT
With over 18 years of experience, I take an integrative approach to mental health, addressing all aspects of the mind and body. I believe that in order for therapy to be most effective, it is essential that the whole person is addressed.
I connect well with all age groups and really enjoy working with teens. I have worked with at risk youth for 20+ years in some capacity. My other passion is bringing couples back from the brink of divorce.
My approach is multifacitated, with psychoeducation as a foundation to promote growth. I then tailor my approach to meet each person’s needs. Focusing heavily on regulating your nervous system and creating an environment for learning and long lasting/sustainable change to occur.
I use a compassionate, but direct approach. Working with individuals, couples and family systems, I focus on empowering individuals to become more relational, as our relational health strongly impacts our mental health.
I hold a certification in Eating Disorders and am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional.
