    Cranial Sacral Therapy

Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) is light touch of the hands treatment that enhances the body’s natural healing capabilities and releases trauma from the central nervous system. The central nervous system (CSN) is made up of the brain/spinal cord. As water helps nutrients reach the plant, circulation of the cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) gives nutrients to the brain and spinal cord. CSF is a clear body fluid within tissues that surround and circulate through the brain, spinal cord and in ventricles of the brain. When the CNS functions well, muscles relax, circulation improves, pain and swelling decreases. When the body functions properly, food metabolism improves, the defensive immune system is better equipped to prevent infection and fight disease. hormones and blood chemistry are in balance. Those with chronic pain can relax, rest and let go of tensions both physical and emotional. They can exercise and become healthier. Seniors become focused and energetic and able to enjoy life. Children with disabilities are better able to make positive growth changes. CST simply encourages the body to self-regulate and heal itself.

Early pioneers in cranial sacral work called the movement of the head and spine “The Breath of Life.” To describe this therapy further, CST works with the vagus nerve, which is responsible for your autonomic nervous system, also reliving conditions such as chronic fatigue, trauma, chronic neck pain, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury, side effects from cancer treatments, recovery from addictions, babies with colic, constipation, sleep disorders, ear infections, headaches, migraines, etc.

In summary, CST promotes a feeling of overall well-being, boosting health and immunity, improving the biological processes by boosting inherent self-regulation and self-correction.

    Reflexology

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that encourages a natural healing process to take place by applying pressure to certain points on the hands and feet that correspond to internal organs in the body. Like its Chinese medicine and kinesiology counterparts, the reflexology theory believes that when ill, stressed, injured or diseases, the body is in an unbalanced state that hinders the body’s natural healing process. A reflexologist will aim to restore equilibrium in the body and consequently encourage a natural healing process to take place. Using their hands and fingers, the reflexologist stimulates certain points on the feet and hands to detect energetic imbalances and work on these pressure points to release blocked energy in order to restore a natural flow of energy. As a result, tensions are relaxed, circulation is improved and toxins can be cast out of the body.

    Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a practice that has been present for thousands of years. Shiatsu is among the many different therapies people seek for relaxation, healing, and relief. Shiatsu has its roots in the concept of qi. In traditional Chinese medicine, qi is the vital life force that drives all life activity. It believes that health occurs when qi flows unobstructed. When it becomes deficient or blocked, symptoms such as body pain, headaches and digestive issues arise. Pressure is applied on the body’s meridians, parts of the body believed to be energy channels, to balance or unblock the flow of energy (qi).

    Acupressure

Acupressure is an ancient treatment used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The goal is to encourage the movement of qi (life energy) through the 14 channels (meridians) in the body. Chinese Medicine theory states the constant flow of qi through these channels is essential for good health. If the energy flow is blocked, the body can no longer maintain the balance that is needed to maintain high energy and deal with health issues.
