Cheryl Peterson, LMFT
With over 20 years of experience, I take an integrative approach to mental health that addresses both the mind and body. I believe that for therapy to be truly effective, the whole person must be considered.
I connect well with clients of all ages and especially enjoy working with teens. I have worked with at-risk youth in various capacities, and I am deeply passionate about helping couples repair their relationships and find their way back from the brink of divorce.
My approach is multifaceted, with psychoeducation serving as a foundation for growth and understanding. From there, I tailor therapy to meet each individual’s unique needs, with a strong focus on nervous system regulation and creating an environment that supports learning, emotional safety, and long-term, sustainable change.
I use a compassionate yet direct style, working with individuals, couples, and family systems. My goal is to empower clients to strengthen their relational health, recognizing that the quality of our relationships has a profound impact on our mental and emotional well-being.
I hold a certification in Eating Disorders and am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional.
